Humane Society-Genesee County at G-3325 South Dort Highway, Burton, Michigan.

For some who don't know, this is a no kill shelter for homeless animals. It's run strictly on fundraisers and donations. They are not affiliated with any humane society or the dog shelter. There is paid staff and the rest are volunteers. The people I have met there are courteous, professional and love the animals. They take in dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, have had a goat, birds. There is a new spay neuter clinic built recently because of a large private donation. The fees are reasonable to adopt a dog or cat. They appreciate your donation of newspapers such as Flint Journal and any donations on their need list at their site.
